National Society Daughters of the American Revolution - Sweetwater Chapter, Douglasville, GA
Membership

How can you find out more about joining the Daughters of the American Revolution?

As the official NSDAR website states, you do not need to complete an application worksheet before attending a chapter meeting.

You do not even need to have identified your patriot ancestor!

Membership is open to all women 18 and over who can prove descent from someone who aided in the patriotic cause in the American Revolution – whether fighting in the Continental Congress or a state militia, providing materiel support of the troops, or serving on a committee of safety or other patriotic government office.

By attending a local chapter meeting, you will meet DAR members who have the experience to assist you in obtaining your goal of DAR membership. Please consider yourself invited to visit a meeting and get to know us. We certainly look forward to meeting you!

Additionally, the Georgia State Society NSDAR also offers a wealth of resources, including expert researchers and application preparers. Please click here to read a personal message from Georgia State Society Regent Virginia Grace Lingelbach, as she offers more insight into the structure of the NSDAR and also into the application process for joining the NSDAR.

For Sweetwater Chapter membership information, please email the chapter registrar, Ruth Randolph "Randy" Williamson, at randy596@comcast.net.

For general NSDAR membership information, please click here to find out more about eligibility and the many helpful resources made available online.
